Birmingham-based energy software developer Contigo has added
another client to its burgeoning portfolio, having completed the
sale of its flagship product to leading UK energy company E.ON
Energy Solutions.
The company has purchased the Retail Energy Trading software
package enTrader, allowing it to accurately measure and track how
much energy they need to buy and trade against the level that its
customers are using.
Simon Piercy, Director, Contigo, said: "The retail side of
E.ON's business is in the UK is quite complex, so our ability to
provide a modular system that emphasises ease of use was a very
attractive proposition. enTrader has been designed to operate
across front, middle and back office functions, providing an
all-in-one package.
"While Contigo is relatively new to the market, our impressive
customer feedback and growing portfolio of influential clients both
here and overseas demonstrates the strength of our products.
I am exceedingly pleased that E.ON Energy Solutions has
chosen to use enTrader and hope that we will continue to work
together in the future."
E.ON Energy Solutions supplies electricity and gas to about 5
million customers throughout the UK.
Lee Waterhouse, Head of Portfolio Management, E.ON Energy
Solutions, said: "Today's energy markets are becoming increasingly
complex and to ensure that we are providing our customers with the
best possible service, we need to be using the best possible
systems.
"enTrader's modular structure and extremely user-friendly
interface allows us to adapt it to our specific requirements and
get to grips with it extremely quickly. We have been very impressed
with the strength of feedback received from Contigo's other
customers regarding enTrader and are confident that this will
provide us with a complete solution."
This news marks Contigo's continued emergence as a supplier of
choice for the energy industry and follows the recent announcement
of its first overseas client, in the form of French energy firm
Compagnie Nationale du Rhône (CNR).
