Specialist legal firm Cartwright King which has offices in
Nottingham, Derby, Leicester, Birmingham, Sheffield and Gateshead,
has again been named as the No. 1 firm in the East Midlands for
crime in the 2011 edition of Legal 500. It comments that the firm
stands out because of its broad team of very experienced
specialists and for the sizes of its dedicated crime teams.
The Sheffield office of Cartwright King has also been ranked No.
1 for crime in Yorkshire and director Mark Fowler, head of the
serious fraud team, is specifically mentioned. The Birmingham
office is ranked for their criminal work and specifically
recognised for white-collar crime, fraud and regulatory work. David
Roy, Jenny Collins, Arif Iqbal and Fiona Warman are all picked out
for their 'outstanding work in the West Midlands'.
Other rankings include Health & Safety in the East Midlands
and Yorkshire, with the team being acknowledged as 'A terrifically
professional service combining a combination of real specialist
knowledge and a reputation for attentiveness, compassion and
knowledge in relation to investigations and formal interviews'.
Amongst other individuals selected for mention were fraud
specialist Mark Wilson, for his "lateral thinking, commerciality
and excellent technical knowledge" and Lynn Bleakley for her
"technical expertise and deep credibility" along with Andrew
Brammer and Michael Thurston.
