BSS Industrial has been awarded a framework agreement by the
North Western Universities Purchasing Consortium (NWUPC), for a
second term running BSS Industrial will provide plumbing,
(ceramics,) heating and ventilation equipment to the 27 members of
the Universities Consortium. They will also supply products to an
additional six Consortia who joined the tender process for the
first time this year.
Peter Sullivan, Operations Director for BSS Industrial

ensure that our bid was successful and their hard work has paid
off."
Compared to last year, the 2011 framework spend is estimated to
increase significantly with the joining of the six additional
Consortia. The contract has been awarded for an initial two year
period with options outlined for two extensions of 12 months
each.
Peter concludes: "We are looking forward to working across the
framework with all of the Consortia involved. We are confident that
we can continue to offer all parties the extensive product choice
and level of service that the NWUPC will have already experienced
over the last 12 months of working with BSS Industrial."
North Western Universities Purchasing Consortium Limited (NWUPC)
is a not for profit company owned by its Higher Education Member
Institutions. Its main aim is to provide a structure for higher
education institutions to secure value for money when purchasing
goods and services. NWUPC is one of six regional higher education
purchasing consortia in the UK and is made up of Higher Education
Institutions and associate members from the Education and other
Public Sector Bodies.
