Advisors at Baker Tilly in Birmingham have found a buyer and
secured the sale of Taskforce Recruitment, the Peterborough based
staffing business owned and managed by Russell Page for over 20
years.
Taskforce, which was founded in Peterborough by Mr Page in 1989
and has branches throughout the East Midlands, has been acquired by
the AIM listed Staffline Group Plc for an undisclosed sum.
Taskforce specialises in placing temporary workers into the
industrial and driving sectors and turns over in excess of
£20 million. Staffline is based in Nottingham and now
operates from over 150 locations across the UK, supplying up to
22,500 short-term employees each day.
Baker Tilly's lead advisor, Tom Gallop, who was appointed by Mr
Page earlier this year to review the strategic options for his
exit, identified a number of potential buyers, received competing
offers for the business and negotiated and managed the deal through
to completion.
Commenting on the sale, Tom says: "We are delighted to have
secured the sale of Taskforce Recruitment to Staffline. Taskforce
is an outstanding business with strong client relationships and has
been well run for many years."
Russell Page added: "This is an exciting deal for both the
clients and employees of Taskforce. I am extremely grateful to Tom
and his team at Baker Tilly who led me through the process from
start to finish and were instrumental in getting this deal agreed
and completed."
This is one of a number of transactions on which Baker Tilly is
currently working. Tom added "We are currently talking to a number
of private vendors about their exit strategies and are seeing
increasing levels of interest from trade buyers from both the UK
and overseas. The recruitment sector, in particular, is a sector
where we have completed many deals in recent years and are
expecting to see further consolidation of the market in the next 18
months."
