Major Coventry employer, Fusion Contact Centre Services, has
revealed that its Bennetts Bike Insurance brand is enjoying a
record breaking bike season - with more than a 30 per cent increase
in sales compared to this time last year.
The brand has experienced record sales volumes for the first
five months of the season, including April policy sales as the
highest ever recorded for the brand, which last year celebrated its
80th anniversary. Bennetts was established in Coventry in 1930, by
the Bennett family, to provide insurance services for the West
Midlands. Now the brand has grown to be the UK's No 1. for bike
insurance.
Fusion employees, based in Mile Lane, have been dealing with
more than 50,000 customer enquiries for the insurer each month
since the start of the season. The growth has been attributed to
the success of recent eCommerce developments as well of the
redesign of Bennetts' marketing strategy to coincide with the new
season launch. This included expanding its presence at key biker
events and meeting points, increased social media activity and the
major 'Biker Dreams' campaign to coincide with its 80th year. The
campaign involved giving away £80,000 worth of bike-related
prizes and experiences to the most deserving creative
applicants.
Andy Talbot, Site Manager, Fusion Coventry commented: "Our
Fusion employees are all very proud of the Bennetts brand -
especially given its Coventry roots. There is always a buzz within
Fusion but the last few months have been really exciting for
Bennetts. We make sure our staff are equipped to give the best
possible customer service by providing regular bike training
sessions for them which really do go down well."
Hannah Squirrell, Associate Director for Marketing and
eCommerce, Bennetts, commented: "Fusion is a key part of the
Bennetts offer, providing an exceptional customer experience.
Bennetts may have an impressive history, but we're not 'old'! We
make sure that the brand is constantly evolving to remain the UK's
No.1 for bikers. The biking market is shifting and the only way to
stay ahead of the curve is to ensure the brand continues to evolve.
We have exciting plans in the pipeline over the next few months
which we expect to boost Bennetts growth even further."
Bennetts has recently started supporting local Coventry MotoGP
rider, Cal Crutchlow, as part of a sponsorship deal.
