Barclays Corporate have announced that it has provided
£30m funding to MHA, to enable the charity to expand its care
services for older people.
MHA, whose Head Office is based in Derby, already operates 70
care homes around the country providing a mix of residential,
nursing and specialist dementia care, as well as independent living
properties and support services for over 12,500 older people.
Paul Milner, finance director of MHA, said: "The financial
backing from Barclays Corporate underlines their confidence in our
business model. The new funding will allow us to develop more care
services and further improve our existing facilities for older
people, ensuring we maintain high standards of care. In addition it
will also see us creating new jobs, which is so important in the
current economic climate. Our long-term relationship with Barclays
Corporate and their "can do" approach is valued and continues to be
an important part of our future growth."
