A wild day out for heroes

West Midland Safari Park is hosting HERO MONTH throughout September as a special thank you to the emergency services for their outstanding efforts. On production of their valid Hero ID on arrival at the Park, members from the services will benefit from reduced prices for themselves and for their accompanying family and friends.

Heroes from the Police, Ambulance, Fire and Lifeboat Service; along with Armed Forces, Doctors, Nurses, Paramedics and Coastguards, will all be welcome.

The animal attractions which Heroes can enjoy includes visiting the 100-acre four mile all-weather self-drive Safari, to see the Indian Rhino; Cheetah Plains; the UK's largest pride of rare White Lions; Elephants and Giraffe, to name just a few. There's a chance to visit the Discovery Trail exhibits too, such as the Sea Lion Show, Creepy Crawlies, Seaquarium, Seal Island, Mark O'Shea's Reptile World, Twilight Cave, Animal and Reptile Encounters. The New African Village, incorporating Meerkat Mayhem is a must and "Walking with Lemurs" is thrilling. All in all there's - a total of 1700 wild animal encounters!

The amusement area with more than 30 rides and games, including the Venom Tower Drop, Black Fly and Zambezi Water Splash, will also be open throughout the entire event.

The extra special admission charge for Heroes visiting in September (with the only exception of 17th September when the Park is fully booked) costs £7.25 per adult (16-64), £6.75 per child (3-15) Children under 3 years of age are admitted free. Rides extra in all cases.

Alternatively, a special fun package is available offering combined admission and multi-ride wristband for a special price of £13.99 per person.

West Midland Safari & Leisure Park is open 7 days until Friday, 4th November 2011. Usual admission costs £13.99 for adults, £11.99 for children and £12.99 for concessions. Amusement rides charged extra.
