A 50,000 sq ft pre-sale has been secured on Hollymoor Point in
Rubery, an industrial scheme developed jointly by regional
development company, Sladen Estates and Birmingham based, Hortons
Estate with Jones Lang Lasalle, Harris Lamb and CBRE acting on
behalf of the landlord.
The pre-sale is to NVC Lighting Technology Corporation, a
Chinese owned lighting company specialising in research,
manufacturing and sales, which is expanding its operation from its
current site of 30,000 sq ft on Hollymoor Point.
Richard Norgrove from Hortons Estate said, "The fact that NVC
Lighting is remaining in the area is testament to the quality of
the location and skilled labour available. We already
have a number of high profile operators on the site and NVC's
commitment to the area is a welcome boost to the local
economy."
Situated close to junction 4 of the M5, Hollymoor Point is part
of the Birmingham Great Park site, which has already created over
1,000,000 sq ft of commercial and leisure space and over 1000 new
homes in an established area of 200 acres of parkland.
Melissa Wase-Rogers from the industrial team of Jones Lang
LaSalle, which recently merged with King Sturge, added, "Not only
does the deal demonstrate the strength of the location but shows
the occupiers faith in the landlords and their ability to deliver a
crucial element of the company's expansion plans. In the
pre-let and pre-sale market, deliverability is key and occupiers
are mainly looking for developers with a tried and tested
reputation."
Hortons Estate and their joint development partner for Plot 101,
Trebor Developments confirmed that the remaining plot can provide
up to 100,000 sq ft on 7.7 acres on a design and build basis with a
new building ready for occupation within 6 months.
Other occupiers on the first phase of Hollymoor Point include
Grespania UK Ltd and Draexlmaier Automotive UK.
