Whitley Stimpson Celebrate 80 Years Serving the Community

Continued growth necessitated several moves and the partnership now occupies larger premises, Penrose House, 67 Hightown Road, Banbury.  Whitley Stimpson is now one of the largest firms of chartered accountants and business advisors in the town and one of only a few independent accountancy practices in the region to offer a full business advisory service.

Whitley Stimpson saw further change last year with the merger of a firm of chartered accountants in High Wycombe, which expanded the client base through offices at both ends of the M40.

The practice's full range of services for businesses and individuals includes management accounts, business tax planning solutions, company formation, audit and business assurance, corporate finance and family business advice.  For individuals it specialises in areas such as inheritance tax, retirement planning, wealth management, employee benefits and the use of trusts to protect wealth.

The firms focus on personal service; value for money and expertise with a genuine emphasis on a partner-led service, has paid dividends and the firm has had a reputation for excellence for many years.  Many of its clients have stayed with the practice from early days as start-ups through to achieving multi-million pound success.

Senior partner, Malcolm Higgs, said: ''We are proud of the firms heritage in Banbury and having been able to service the needs of the local business community over the last 80 years. During my time with the firm I have seen significant growth and, whilst the technical and compliance aspects of the firm's work has become ever more complex, we pride ourselves on helping our clients solve their problems and enabling them to plan for their future. Although the firm has grown in size during my tenure, we continue to be proud of the friendly and highly personal service we offer to all our clients irrespective of size whilst providing straightforward advice based upon our deep knowledge and expertise.''

Events are to be held throughout the year for clients, contacts and staff to celebrate the impressive 80-year milestone, as well as looking forward to the next 80 years.
