Hadley Park becomes Fawlty Towers for three nights in September,
as Basil Fawlty, Manuel and Sybil bring mayhem and madness to this
highly acclaimed Shropshire hotel and restaurant.
The Fawlty Towers experience has become an established part
Hadley Park House Hotel's events calendar, and is once again
expected to be sell-out occasions.
The first dates, on Friday September 9th and Saturday September
10th, will be held in Dorrell's Restaurant and in a Marquee in the
grounds (respectively), with Fawlty himself due to take over the
running of the hotel's otherwise smooth operations at 8pm. Ticket
prices for these evenings are £45 per person, including a
three course evening meal.
Sunday night's venue switches to the Mulliner Suite, with a 7pm
start, and tickets costing £39.50 per person for the same
evening of entertainment and three course dinner.
Instead of receiving a warm welcome from General Manager Mark
Lewis, guests attending these evenings will step inside an hotel
inhabited by snobbish, manic Basil Fawlty; his domineering wife,
Sybil; and the hapless, language-challenged waiter from Barcelona,
Manuel.
The interactive comedy dining experience has been described in
the past as "two hours of fat-wobbling, gut-busting face-aching
laughter…with a three course dinner".
Guests who would like to stay overnight in Hadley Park House
Hotel are being offered a special package - with a bottle of
champagne in their bedroom, and bed-and-breakfast, priced at only
£110 per person.
Tickets for the Fawlty Towers' experience's three night run in
Shropshire are expected to sell-out very quickly. Anyone wishing to
book their place is advised to telephone the hotel on 01952-677269;
or e-mail info@hadleypark.co.uk.
Purchased six years ago by the current owners, Hadley Park has a
fine pedigree. The history of the building itself has been
painstakingly researched, and reflects the grandeur on offer to its
visitors today. It has taken almost seven years to restore the
property to its former glory. An extension - with a function suite,
and 10 extra bedrooms - has just been sympathetically added to the
existing property, leaving the hotel ready to welcome a new
generation of visitors through its doors.
Ideally suited to couples, or small groups, who are in search of
a bolt-hole while exploring the world famous Ironbridge, or who
want to find out more about how the picturesque village of Much
Wenlock nearby claims to be the starting point of the Modern
Olympics, The Hadley Park Hotel is now offering itself as an oasis
in the heart of Telford.
