Nottingham based, The Key Personnel Group has been bought back
by its founder, Pam Pindar.
The business, sold just two years ago, faced a winding up order
issued by the HMRC last Friday and Administrators were called
in.
Pam Pindar, and two other former directors, Sherrine Swallow and
Mandy Hallam, of the Key Personnel Group stepped in immediately to
save the business and 20 staff jobs based in offices in Nottingham,
Derby, Newark, Mansfield and Lincoln.
Pam Pindar started the company in 1985 and over the following 20
plus years grew it to be one of The Midlands' largest commercial
recruitment agencies. Her reputation as one the region's most
prominent businesswomen is well established and her support for
regional promotional and community projects renowned. Her sale of
the business in 2009 was prompted by a desire to pursue her other
business interests, with a particular focus on PBS UK, her payroll
business services.
"When I first learned of the potential insolvency of Key
Personnel last week I was appalled. Two years ago the business was
sold as an extremely healthy concern - financially stable and
reputation intact. Even taking the full effects of the economic
downturn into account, I am shocked and indeed angry that it has
come to this in such a relatively short period of time.
"Myself and the other new Directors of Key Personnel intend to
work to re-establish the good name and reputation of the
business."
