A local company specialising in manufacturing bespoke heat
exchange systems has launched a dedicated new service to reduce the
risk of operational downtime in the oil and gas sector.
In response to an ever-increasing demand from a number of its
clients in the industry, Stafford-based Spiro-Gills Thermal
Products Ltd has developed and launched a special package that will
ensure spare and replacement parts are readily available in a
timely fashion.
The firm, which produces a diverse range of heat exchangers,
process and engine cooling systems, and finned tubing for sectors
such as oil and gas, petrochemicals, and power generation, believes
its new Spares Framework Agreement will minimise disruptions in an
industry where continuous supply is of paramount importance, with
the UK producing upwards of two million barrels of oil a day.
Through the framework, refineries will have rapid access to a
comprehensive array of spare parts - including fans, belts, motors,
plugs and gaskets - tailored to its specific products and systems,
ensuring clients are well-prepared to carry out routine maintenance
and replace parts affected by general wear and tear.
"As a company that was first established in 1946, we have been
able to build up a vast archive of spare parts and products over
the years, many dating back to the 1960s," Paul Hallam, of
Spiro-Gills, revealed. "A large percentage of this stock is easily
accessible from our facility in Stafford, so we can turn around
most standard parts for next day delivery, whilst bespoke
replacements can be built and shipped in less than eight weeks.
"We completely understand how vital it is for our clients to
have the reassurance of such a swift turnaround - they work in a
crucial sector where time is of the essence, and where production
downtime needs to be limited to an absolute minimum. The Spares
Framework Agreement also enables our clients to arrange spare parts
deliveries well in advance of any system upgrades or shutdown
periods they have already scheduled," Paul added.
Spiro-Gills Thermal Products Ltd has been designing and
manufacturing bespoke industrial heat exchangers, process and
engine coolers, and finned tubing since 1946. Based in
Staffordshire, the company has more than 60 years knowledge and
expertise from working with clients in sectors as diverse as
petrochemicals, power generation, and oil and gas, and is
acknowledged throughout the industry for its outstanding customer
service, rapid turnaround, and comprehensive archive of products
and spare parts.
