Veterans at Audley Court Combat Stress care home in Newport,
Shropshire have benefitted from having their facilities extended
and improved by leading West Midlands based construction company
Shaylor.
The work that Shaylor has completed at Audley Court includes a
large new build extension to the rear of the existing building,
creating a new dining area and kitchen.
Ray Salmons, finance director for Combat Stress said: "Everyone
at Audley Court is delighted with the work Shaylor has done.
"Being able to have a brand new kitchen and dining area really
is fantastic as before, the two were at opposite ends of the
building which wasn't very practical at all. It's great that we
have now been able to bring it all together. We care for mental
health patients so anything that makes life easier is greatly
appreciated."
Ken Rawe, leader of special projects at Shaylor, said: "This has
been a very successful project and we are delighted to have been
commissioned to carry out some additional works which include
re-surfacing and new lighting works to the car parks."
Audley Court is one of three short stay treatment centres.
Combat Stress delivers dedicated treatment and support to
ex-service men and women with conditions such as post-traumatic
stress disorder (PTSD), depression and anxiety disorders. The
services are free of charge to the veteran.
