The Country Court Care Group, based in Lincolnshire recently
achieved recognition as an Investor in People, reinforcing the
organisation's quality standards and good practice.
The Group was founded over 20 years ago and now has eight care
homes and a homecare agency, with a team of 296 employees. Country
Court's mission is to provide exceptional care and comfort to
residents during their stay regardless of their nationality, social
standing or state of mind.
Business Development Manager, Joe Wey says that at all times the
rights of individuals are acknowledged. "We encourage independence
and provide a safe, friendly, caring support service from
appropriately trained staff. In addition, we provide a rapidly
developing service for providing care in clients' own homes, called
Homecare, which is very much part of the operation."
Strong leadership
The organisation is currently working with emb-x Ltd, the
Investors in People Centre responsible for covering Central
England. Hev Bingley at emb-x says that achieving the Standard
reinforces the quality of service, strength of the team and the
value the organisation places on its people. "The Investors in
People assessment report highlighted that the quality of the
mandatory care training programme is very high," she
explains.
"There were excellent reports of a lively and participative
training style, an approach to training that contributes to the
enjoyment of learning in the organisation and supports people to
retain important information and care skills."
With a strong culture of continuous improvement within the
senior management team, employees' contributions and ideas for
improvement are appreciated and encouraged as MD Alykhan Kachra
explains. "We really do value our people and appreciate how
important their input is to the ongoing development of the
organisation and the continued high quality of service to
clients."
Motivated team
As a result of the focus that Country Court places on planning
and the clear links with learning and development, Managers are
able to develop and support their teams with people very much
encouraged to expand their care knowledge and skills. "We
have high occupancy rates, high care standards and staff who are
motivated and willing to go the extra mile, which is a real asset
to the organisation," adds Alykhan.
"Investors in People has proved to be a valuable business
improvement framework, helping us to ensure we build on our current
success and maintain the high standards people have come to expect
from us."
The quality of the work of Country Court Care Group has been
further recognised with a nomination for the Health Investor
Residential Care Provider of the year 2011.
