Voice, the Derby based union for education professionals, has
launched a new website for its members that has been designed by
East Midlands based marketing agency Perspektiv.
Voice has a strong membership of various education professionals
throughout the UK with each requiring access to different
information. The website has therefore been designed and
developed in a way which enables the content to be dynamic and
personalised to each member so that they only see information
relevant to them.
Although detailed records of membership data has always been
captured, it has not been used to its full potential until now. We
have streamlined the online application form which requires members
to input information about education sector, geographical location
etc. This data is then used to personalise the content that the
member sees when they log in. As the site is preference
driven, members can still access other information with the content
seen capable of being expanded or reduced depending on what is
required via a simple interface.
The new site is easy to use and navigate, is dynamic in terms of
the content and also serves to reinforce the image of Voice as a
modern union.
Perspektiv has been working with Voice for almost three years.
Back in 2007 the company was appointed to help the union
reposition itself. This resulted in the creation of the new
name - Voice, followed by a fresh corporate identity and marketing
collateral. Perspektiv also created an interim website for
members to use whilst the development of the new permanent site
took place.
"This was the final piece of the jigsaw in the rebrand and now
gives Voice a complete set of integrated communications," said
Chris McGillan, Senior Account Manager at Perspektiv.
"It's great to have a website that reflects the personal service
that we offer our membership," said Philip Parkin, General
Secretary of Voice.
