Sam Sangha, the Nottingham entrepreneur behind the successful Asiana group of businesses, has launched the first in a chain of Indian takeaway restaurants.

Called Nimboo, the takeaway offering restaurant quality food has opened in Melton Road West Bridgford, and offers top quality food prepared by executive chef Sundar Singh Rana, formerly of the five-star Oberoi in Mumbai and La Port Des Indes in Marble Arch.

Asiana is now looking to expand the concept across the region having already opened the established Nimboo restaurant in Beeston and with one further site within Nottingham under offer.

Nottingham property agent heb found the premises in Melton Road, West Bridgford for Nimboo. The property, formally occupied by the Double Seven Chinese restaurant, opened just days ago and already trade has been brisk.

Jonathan Emmerson of heb said: "Acquiring an A3 or A5 premises within West Bridgford is notoriously difficult due to the lack of such opportunities due to planning restrictions. We are therefore delighted to work closely with the landlord of the property and FHP to deliver a takeaway that both the landlord and Sam can be proud of and that will no doubt benefit both parties.

"heb has an extremely strong relationship with Asiana and undertakes all its property work within the region  - including retail, restaurants and property developments".

Ben Tebbutt of FHP acted for the landlord of the property in Melton Road. He said: "We are thrilled to let this property with a pleasing level of rent in a short space of time - and to a well known entrepreneur. We were also delighted to act with heb on this deal."

Sam Sangha, managing director of Asiana and Nimboo said: "We offer top quality food and an extensive menu - including specialist Indian dishes which can be enjoyed at home. We decided to create this new 'desi' homemade Indian food section on the menu because people want to eat traditional food, cooked in the traditional way. Sundar is our executive chef, creating special dishes for all our restaurants. Melton Road Nimboo is no exception. West Bridgford diners will enjoy top quality food to enjoy at home.

"We are delighted to create our first takeaway in West Bridgford where we know there are a lot of discerning diners. We have had a busy start at Nimboo and look forward to a successful start to this new concept."
