Nelsons hosts business forum on Injunctions and Restrictive Covenants

Pictured: Jon Roberts

Nottingham law firm, Nelsons is hosting a free-to-attend, breakfast discussion forum looking at 'Injunctions and Restrictive Convenants' for in-house lawyers, directors, managers and other professionals.

The forum will be led by director Jon Roberts and associate Heather Stanford, who are based in Nelsons' Dispute Resolution team and between them have over 35 years of commercial litigation experience. It will take place from 8.30am to 10.00am at Nelsons' Nottingham office on Stanford Street on Wednesday 21st September.

Jon Roberts says: "Through an informal review of case studies and adopting our usual open discussion format, we will examine the Court's powers with Injunctions, including Mandatory, Interim or Freezing Injunctions and Search Orders, as well as what happens next and who pays the cost.

"Looking at the issues around Restrictive Covenants, we will consider restraint of trade or reasonable post-employment prohibitions, soliciting customers or staff, working for competitors, customer lists and databases, confidentiality and protection of trade secrets, use of Injunctions and the evidence required to take legal action in the case of a breach of covenant."

Places can be booked via the firm's website at www.nelsonslaw.co.uk or by contacting Sarah Jamieson on 0800 0241 976 or at sarah.jamieson@nelsonslaw.co.uk.
