Acting on behalf of off shore clients, Lambert Smith Hampton
(LSH) has successfully let an approx. 33,000 sq ft warehouse on
Meridian Business Park at J21 M1 Leicester.
Geoff Gibson, Director at LSH Leicester comments: "This property
is well known on Meridian, being the first warehouse constructed by
the developers back in the 1980's and prominently situated on the
corner of Meridian South/East near to the main entrance to the
Park. More recently the building was occupied by Fedex.
What was pleasing is that we managed to achieve a letting within
days of Fedex's lease expiring, hence mitigating the void holding
costs to our clients, which is important in these days of void
rates liability. The deal was agreed and completed very
quickly, which came about after a previously agreed transaction had
fallen through at the last minute due to the start of the 'Arab
uprising' in the Middle East and the oil price increase which
affected the buyer.
This deal illustrates the continuing improvement to the market,
especially for well located premises available to rent on a
flexible basis"
Lambert Smith Hampton has recently been instructed to market two
further premises on the Business Park of 30,000 & 25,000 sq ft.
There is already firm interest in both properties, once again
illustrating the continuing improvement in the market and the lack
of good quality stock.
