Independent training and research consultancy Hempsall's has
become the latest venture to relocate to the growing business
community at Phoenix Square in Leicester's Cultural Quarter.
A provider of training, research and consultancy for everyone
working with children, young people and families, Hempsall's
specialises in the early years, childcare, extended services and
children's centres sectors.
The business has relocated from Grove Park to the 1,100 sq ft
Unit 2 at Phoenix Square, which is situated on Morledge Street.
With its 15-strong team fulfilling contracts across the
country, the new office will be the main base for seven employees,
with facilities for hot-desking and other flexible working
practices incorporated into the design of the new office.
James Hempsall, director of Hempsall's, explained why the
company has relocated to new Grade A office premises at Phoenix
Square. He said: "As a creative business, we were attracted to the
energy which is emerging in the Cultural Quarter and we liked the
way in which the offices here are designed as they match our way of
working. Having spent the past twelve years based on the outskirts
of the city, we wanted to enjoy the buzz of being in the heart of
Leicester and to benefit from all the lunchtime and after work
activities the city offers.
"The success of the business to-date has been built on our
ability to be flexible and to respond to the changing needs of our
clients, and the move to Phoenix Square enables us to continue to
do this in a changing market place. The move also supports our
overall business strategy of continuing to grow and develop our
training offer. This is becoming particularly diverse as the
benefits of child protection procedures are more widely recognised,
along with a commitment to equal opportunities. We also are growing
our programme of direct contracts with children's centres,
childcare providers and others."
A limited number of office units are now remaining at Phoenix
Square, providing around 1000 sq ft each. Each Grade A office has
been designed with sustainability in mind, giving occupiers all the
benefits of maximum energy efficiency. The prominent on-street
frontages provide fantastic opportunities for branding, while a
double height ground floor space could be adapted to accommodate a
mezzanine level.
All occupiers have access to a central courtyard, and to a range
of facilities including conference space, meeting rooms, cinema,
and digital and media production facilities.
John Long from Blueprint, said: "We are delighted to welcome
Hempsall's to the flourishing business community at Phoenix Square.
It is incredibly satisfying to see successful, independent
Leicester-based companies continue to grow here and we really value
having a vibrant mix of businesses. Phoenix Square's green
credentials also mean that running costs and service charge are
among the lowest on offer in the city, making the office space a
fantastic choice in the long-term."
Phoenix Square is a unique cultural building which combines
contemporary living space, with independent arts cinema,
café bar, state of the art workspaces and office studios to
house Leicester's growing number of creative businesses. It is the
creation of a partnership project between Blueprint, Phoenix,
Leicester City Council in collaboration with De Montfort University
and is an example of 21st century sustainable building design,
coupled with leading-edge architectural quality.
