Leading Black Country law firm George Green LLP have recently
advised Kidderminster Harriers Football Club on the setting up of
two unique partnership academies with Stourbridge College.
The new Football and Hospitality Academies will offer training
opportunities for 16 year olds (and upwards) that will serve them
well in the hospitality industry and help them reach the top of
their game in the competitive world of football.
Both academies have now opened their doors with the Football
Academy offering courses to nearly 70 students and the Hospitality
Academy currently having 26 apprentices already working in a range
of catering and hospitality apprenticeship programmes.
Guy Green, Head of Corporate at George Green, commented "We were
really proud to be able to help Kidderminster Harriers with the
setting up of their two academies, in partnership with Stourbridge
College. With the current unemployment levels of young people, both
academies will go a long way to improving the aspirations of local
school leavers and benefit the local economy by turning out
qualified and ambitious young adults."
