A BA Advertising and Design student from The University of
Northampton has scooped an annual award from a leading creative
agency.
Year 2 student Annabel Rogerson has been presented with the
Engine Creative Prize for 2011 by Engine Creative, based in
Northampton.
Engine Creative has been working with students on BA Advertising
courses at The University of Northampton's Business School for four
years and is the University's current retained creative agency.
Annabel was selected out of an interview process where students
had the opportunity to discuss their experiences on the course, as
well as their aspirations for the future. Students were also asked
to consider how evolving media opportunities are shaping the
advertising landscape and present their ideas as part of the
interview.
Strategic Director of Engine Creative Andy Wise commented:
"I was really impressed by the students in terms of the way they
presented themselves and their subject knowledge. Annabel stood out
for me because of her passion for how marketing can be integrated
into the gaming world; an area which particularly resonates with
ourselves and some of our clients at the moment. In addition,
Annabel is extremely bright and has a positive and open personality
which will serve her well in the creative industry.
"The University of Northampton has a growing reputation for
getting the very best out of its students academically whilst also
building strong links with industry. This is a powerful combination
which directly contributes to the creative industry whilst also
delivering wider economic and social impacts."
Award winner Annabel received a cash prize and will take up a
work placement with Engine Creative as part of the award.
The prize was established in 2008 to recognise creative talent
and industry potential for students of the Advertising with Design
(BA Hons) course at The University of Northampton. Run by the
Northampton Business School, the course has consistently produced
talented graduates that have gone on to forge successful careers in
the creative, advertising and marketing industry.
