The Peak District and Derbyshire's multi award-winning East
Lodge Hotel offers romantic autumnal weddings amongst the changing
colours of the English countryside and now couples can complete
their fairytale day with a traditional hog roast for their evening
wedding feast.
As the former hunting lodge to Haddon Hall, East Lodge dates
from the 18th century and a sumptuous hog roast couldn't be more
fitting in such a historic setting and really adds to the
atmosphere. Wedding guests can expect to dine like a Duke and
Duchess of old with the ingredients all locally sourced and
prepared by top UK chef Simon Bradley and his team. East Lodge
holds a civil wedding licence, can accommodate over 100 guests for
a real feel of 'medieval matrimony', perfect for the season of
mists and mellow fruitfulness.
Iain Hardman, deputy managing director of East Lodge, said: "The
hog roast is a bit of British tradition that we brought back a
couple of years ago and it went down so well we are bringing it
back again for all autumn and winter wedding celebrations. Few
sights can compete with the autumn russet and golds of the East
Lodge estate and the smell of the real fire as your evening wedding
is in full swing."
There is still limited availability left at East Lodge for this
autumn and winter and next year too, for anyone inspired by the
recent marriage of Kate and William and looking to make 2011 your
year of matrimony. Couples booking a new 2011 autumnal wedding
package will also be entitled to a free professional fireworks
display worth £500.
Owned by the Hardman family, this multi-award winning venue has
remained at the top by constantly improving its service with a
ceaseless drive for excellence that has led this former Hotel of
the Year to be one of only 48 hotels in the country to be awarded a
Visit England Gold Award and to have once again scooped one of the
top silver awards in the national finals and gold in the regional
finals of the Enjoy England Excellence Awards in 2011 for
Outstanding Customer Service.
