Dukes Bailiffs has passed it annual audit for ISO:9001
certification with flying colours, providing a competent working
environment and management system for both staff and clients.
The process of Certification from registration to completion was
made up of two annual audits with Lead Assessor Dave Wilcox, who
examined everything from documentation and policies, procedures,
every day working processes, follow- ups, complaints handling and
evidence this was supported, evidence that targets for 2012 can be
reached and objectives for the company.
Dave Wilcox highly commended Dukes for their efforts:
"This was a well-received visit. I noted improvement measures
and the whole Dukes QMS profile has shifted up a gear. There was
good communication and involvement of staff. Dukes has stepped up a
gear within their quality management systems and working
processes."
Dave Parry, Quality Assurance Manager at Dukes, is excited about
the audit results. "The ISO9001:2008 internal auditing
awareness course now allows me to audit all of Dukes procedures and
working processes to the standard that ISO9001:2008 expect. This in
turn will show tenders and future tenders that Dukes has in place a
competent person for continuous improvement.
During the internal auditing side, we audit against Dukes
Quality Manual which is made up of two parts, Quality Manual and
Quality Procedures, showing these are the processes and procedures
that have been set and Dukes should conform to.
This also stands us in good stead when ISO come in to conduct a
regular audit of our systems on a twice yearly basis so we can keep
the certificate".
Managing Director Colin Naylor is confident that the ISO 9001
Certification will assist in the tender and new business process.
He said "It will improve internal workings and business
communication among staff and give us the competitive advantages
among other bailiff companies. The Mapping system is
impressive and creates a better utilization of bailiff's time
management, as well as being an environmental saving".
The next audit will be toward the end of the year, with the main
certification at the end of 2012.
