This week saw the drpgroup bring together the entire team for
its annual summer conference held in Stratford-upon-Avon. The event
saw the entire 100 strong team enjoy a day of business focussed
presentations, team building activities and the delivery of plans
for the continued development of the group. The team used the event
as an opportunity to reflect on the considerable growth undergone
in the past 12 months and look at ways to can continue to
communicate effectively with one another to deliver the high levels
of services expected by our clients.
The morning of the conference saw managing director Dale
Parmenter recount the group's growth throughout the continued
uncertain economic climate and he welcomed many of the team to
their first drpconference. Each team then shared knowledge from
recent experience days they had taken part in, designed to widen
industry understanding and improve service levels to customers.
After lunch, the group shared feedback from the recent customer
survey carried out before taking part in the first team building
activities of the day, the communications game and the gross profit
challenge. The futureteams games helped new team members get to
know each other as well as improving business knowledge in a fun
and interactive setting. Winners of the day's challenges would be
revealed later at the evening's activities.
After the conference close where Dale covered the group's
ambitious plans for supporting clients next year, the team enjoyed
free time before embarking on a team building activity delivered
around the town of Stratford-upon-Avon. The evening closed with a
private function at a nearby venue before the team travelled back
the following day, refreshed, re-energised and ready to deliver for
the rest of the year.
Dale Parmenter commented on the group conference. "We've seen a
lot of negative news in the press recently about the economic
slowdown and the fear of slipping back into recession but for us,
these are the times it is more vital than ever to communicate with
your people. Our conference ensures the team are ready to tackle
any issues that may arise in the latter half of the year and helps
us to maintain our excellent progress throughout 2010."
