Partners and staff at national audit, tax and advisory firm Crowe Clark Whitehill are getting acquainted with their new Midlands office at Black Country House, Rounds Green Road, Oldbury.

The firm has brought its Kidderminster and Walsall offices together at the newly refurbished office.

Midlands managing partner Johnathan Dudley said: "Merging two offices on a completely new site was always going to be a logistical challenge."

"However, a great deal of planning and preparation went into the move and it has gone almost seamlessly. That is a tribute to the efforts of our staff and that of our landlords. I extend my thanks to them all."

"These are fantastic new facilities and we were determined to hit the ground running. We have achieved that, we are open for business and already deals are being done. The message to clients is - you are going to get an even better service. And the message to would-be clients is - we are major players in the Midlands, this is a significant step up for us … come and see how we can deliver."

Mr Dudley said: "Crowe Clark Whitehill's offices in Kidderminster and Walsall had served the firm well, but for some time, there had been a desire to bring the two together to create a centre of excellence. However, location and accessibility to clients was and remained a high priority."

"At Black Country House we have all our expertise under one roof while maintaining that vitally important accessibility in terms of road and rail links, helped by plentiful on-site car parking," he said.

"From our new location, our clients in Staffordshire to the north, Worcestershire to the south, Warwickshire and Northamptonshire to the east and Herefordshire to the west will be within even easier reach of all our partners and staff.

"In our new office, we will be cutting our carbon footprint - and that has to be a good thing for the environment. And with a virtually paperless office, as far as is possible, we will be making a significant, contribution to maintaining the world's forests."

"Now we have moved in, it is clear that all our hopes are set to be realised. This is a substantial investment by Crowe Clark Whitehill but it is an opportunity we intend to grasp."

"Kidderminster and Walsall - indeed the whole of the Midlands - will remain crucial to us. But uniting in one location will help bring to fruition our aim to further develop specialist and value added services that will remain both convenient and cost effective and will be delivered 'in partnership' with our clients. We are confident they will see the benefits."

"We relish the challenge of helping our clients play a lead role in the regeneration and future prosperity of not just the Black Country but the Midlands region as a whole. We like to see ourselves as an expanding, go-ahead business, contributing to the economic betterment of this area. This move means we can be even more effective."

Crowe Clark Whitehill has taken nearly a third of the office space - a complete floor - at the iconic Black Country House.

Walsall-based developer Goold Estates recently completed a £1.6 million comprehensive refurbishment of the façade, reception area, common parts, new lifts and the second floor office area.

The building was originally the headquarters of Accles and Pollock, famous for building the world's first all-metal aircraft.

Dominic Goold, managing director of Goold Estates said: "We are delighted to have such a prestigious tenant as the first occupier moving into the refurbished space. We welcome Crowe Clark Whitehill and wish them the very best at their new Midlands office."
