Midlands law firm Challinors has hired commercial litigators
Andrew Shipley and Stephen Rowe to its twelve-strong commercial
litigation team that operates across the region.
Joining are Andrew Shipley, previously partner at East Midlands
law firm Roythornes LLP for three years, based in its Nottingham
city centre office, and Stephen Rowe, who moves to Challinors after
twelve years at Solihull firm Williamson & Soden, where he was
a partner and head of the litigation team.
"Both Andrew and Stephen are highly experienced commercial
litigators and will play a valuable part in the continued expansion
of the firm's commercial litigation team," comments Challinors'
Senior Partner Paul Griffiths.
"Historically, Challinors has always exhibited great strength in
commercial litigation and is committed to building on this
reputation. As part of the team, which currently has twelve fee
earners, five of them partners, and is headed by experienced
litigator Peter Lowe, Stephen and Andrew will play an important
role in realising the firm's plans for sustaining this reputation
and indeed growing the team."
Partners in the team are Paul Griffiths, Raj Bains, Jeremy Hale,
Peter McHugh and Peter Lowe, who comments: "This year, the
commercial litigation team accounted for more than fifteen percent
of the firm's annual turnover and as such, represents a major
contribution to Challinors' overall revenue.
"The appointment of two highly experienced litigation experts
signposts Challinors' continued commitment to this area of
specialism. Instructions for the team continue to rise, in
particular in the area of professional negligence. We have
successfully acted in a number of high profile litigation cases in
the High Court in the past few weeks alone."
