An elderly care home located in Tamworth has opened its doors to
the local community after securing a six-figure business loan from
Lloyds TSB Commercial.
The Manor House, on Hockley Road in Tamworth, is a new dedicated
day care centre which provides a flexible support service to older
people who wish to remain independent in the community, as well as
their carers and families.
The business, which employs seven people, is operating from a
magnificent three storey Georgian property, built in 1805, which
has been immaculately refurbished to offer luxurious surroundings
where older people can spend time socialising and enjoying
activities to stimulate mind and body.
The six-figure mortgage provided by Lloyds TSB Commercial's
Healthcare Banking team will enable The Manor House to continue its
expansion and focus on new ways of delivering high quality care
services to elderly people in the local area.
The Manor House has good prospects for future growth, with its
10 large bedrooms providing ideal accommodation to facilitate
overnight stays and respite. The business also has plans to work
with other local organisations to provide informal carer training
and support in a comfortable and relaxed environment.
Joanne Thompson, director and centre manager of The Manor House,
commented:
"The service that we can offer to local elderly people and their
carers can have an important and significant impact on their
everyday lives. The government has recently introduced measures
which allow elderly people and their carers to choose care services
that are most appropriate to their needs and ultimately, raise
standards in social care.
"We wanted to purchase a property in Tamworth to help facilitate
our business' growth and ensure stability for future years, and the
Lloyds TSB Commercial support has been vital in making this
happen.
"It is incredibly pleasing to have received lending support from
Lloyds TSB Commercial, in order to help drive our growth plans. The
proficient service and effective ideas that we have received from
Elaine has been dedicated and efficient - she fully understands
what we are looking to achieve and has provided the financial
support needed to drive our plans."
Elaine Colwell, relationship manager for Lloyds TSB Commercial,
said:
"The Manor House will provide an invaluable service to elderly
people and their families, living in the local area, by bringing
greater flexibility and independence to their daily lives.
"Our investment and on-going support of this business is a
result of the clear strategic objectives that Joanne and her team
have outlined in order to maximise future growth in the
company.
"At Lloyds TSB Commercial we are committed to supporting the
healthcare sector and have a team of specialists on hand who fully
understand the complex nature of this industry. We want to provide
businesses such as this with the knowledge, support and guidance to
encourage growth."
