Local Nottingham business Mature Accountants Ltd recently
benefited from the services of Barclays Business Manager Richard
Thomas as he spent the day working alongside his customer as part
of a pledge to find out "first hand" about their client's needs and
the range of issues facing local businesses.
Richard Thomas swapped his pen for computer mouse to join Martin
Lloyd-Penny, owner of Mature Accountants Ltd. His duties involved
reviewing candidate applications as well as updating the company's
website and database.
Commenting on his experience, Richard Thomas said: "As champions
of local business, Barclays is committed to supporting the local
economy and I am committed to finding out more about my client's
business to help Martin achieve his ambitions. The more we know and
learn about our customers the better, enabling us to provide the
right levels of support and advice when required. This initiative
is taking place up and down the country and is one of a range of
measures to support our Business Banking customers to achieve their
goals and grow their business."
Martin Lloyd-Penny said "During these difficult times it is
essential that you maintain close links with your bank and ensure
they have a genuine understanding of your business. This initiative
has been a great success and allows my bank to fully understand my
business and the issues I face on a day to day basis."
