Helen Brewster, who runs Coventry-based IT training and
development firm ATL Solutions, has become the client experience
director at ACUTEC.
Helen is one of the most active personalities in the industry in
the region and has been a director of UK IT Association (UKITA) for
more than a decade.
As part of that role, she regularly visits Westminster to ensure
government is aware of issues affecting the industry and to
highlight how the UK could do better when it comes to
technology.
Helen has now joined ACUTEC, which has expanded in the past two
years following the takeover of Coventry-based Computime.
She said: "I have known Chris Roche, the managing director of
ACUTEC, for some time and we share many of the same views when it
comes to the IT industry.
"ACUTEC has a team full of IT expertise and even Chris himself
is qualified, which is not always the case with the people at the
top in this industry.
"What is also recognised here is that most of our clients do not
have technical knowledge and our engineers are trained to listen to
and help clients find the best solution for them.
"That can be anything from the building of a new website or
designing software to the management of a whole computer network.
Most companies don't want to know how it works, they just want to
see that it meets the needs of their business and very often
exceeds those needs.
"That's why I am very pleased to be on board here at ACUTEC.
Because we have the same belief that we should provide not only
great IT solutions but also great customer service, it meant it was
an easy decision to join."
Chris Roche, the managing director of ACUTEC, said Helen's
arrival would be noticed in the industry.
He said: "Helen has been one of the key players in IT in the
West Midlands for the past decade and I am very pleased that she
has agreed to join us at ACUTEC.
"We are growing our client base all the time and we want to
ensure that each customer gets the very best possible service and
that is why we have brought Helen on board.
"In this industry, it is crucial that you have the technical
knowledge but also that you can speak the client's language. We
