Work has started on a showroom extension which will see a luxury
bathroom store double in size.
S&S Luxury Bathrooms, of High Street, Silverdale,
Newcastle-under-Lyme, has embarked on ambitious plans to create
additional sales and display space and to expand its range to
include cutting edge, energy saving, solar photo voltaic heating
systems.
Company Director, Mark Curran, said: "We need the extra space to
showcase our stunning range of kitchens, bathrooms and boilers.
"Some people may say why now with the economic future of the UK
still uncertain. But we were able to weather the recession well and
this is a statement of intent for the future.
"There is a demand for high end, top quality bathrooms and
kitchens. We need a first class showroom to be able to show off our
range of stock to our customers."
S&S attract customers from a wide area including
Staffordshire, Shropshire, Cheshire, Merseyside and the West
Midlands.
"The majority of our business comes through recommendations via
satisfied customers," explained Mark.
"The extension is more about being able to show off products in
the right setting than about attracting more customers into the
shop.
"We are looking to work with interior designers, specifiers and
architects. We are able to supply them with a complete bespoke
solution for their clients' bathroom or kitchen refit."
Mr Curran said that Silverdale residents had nothing to fear as
the store would not attract a high level of footfall or extra
traffic.
The store currently had seven employees and Mr Curran said the
extension could generate two new jobs.
The showroom extension will feature a striking two storey high
glass frontage. It is being built on derelict land adjacent to the
current store.
