Staff from Willmott Dixon's north Birmingham branch have jumped
through hoops to boost the fundraising efforts of a sporty local
schoolgirl and help her to take part in the trip of a lifetime.
Keen netball player Eloise Ingram, age 16 and from Birmingham,
was able to represent Birmingham in the Birmingham Jamaica Sports
Legacy Exchange Programme having received support from Willmott
Dixon Partnerships.
The Birmingham-Jamaica Sports Legacy Exchange Programme was
launched this February and aims to provide for the exchange of
expertise and competition in four sports: netball, athletics,
football and cricket, between Jamaica and Birmingham, and also for
the forging of business and cultural ties.
Eloise, whose mother Elaine works as an administrator at
Willmott Dixon's Birmingham north branch, was keen to visit Jamaica
and develop her netball expertise but needed to raise £1300
towards the trip.
Branch manager Pauline Chatt arranged for Eloise to spend time
in the branch supporting colleagues, making tea, photocopying and
general administrative duties which saw her manage to raise a vital
£300 towards her trip.
Pauline said, "This was an opportunity of a lifetime for Eloise
and we were very keen to help her on her way. In return she
assisted us in our busy office, and keeping our team happy with
lots of teas and coffees."
Eloise's mother Elaine Ingram, said, "We are extremely grateful
to the Willmott Dixon team for their support and allowing Eloise to
visit the branch and help out in any way that she could. Many of
our friends and family have helped to arrange fundraising events
for Eloise and without their generous support it just wouldn't have
been able to happen."
