Wells McFarlane, the leading East Midlands commercial property
management and chartered surveyors based in Lutterworth, has been
appointed to let and manage one of Leicestershire's most attractive
and historic rural business parks, Dovecote Court at Potters
Marston.
The business park comprises a number of high specification
offices which have been sympathetically restored and converted, set
in the attractive courtyard of Potters Marston Hall. The Hall was
once central to the village of Potters Marston which boasted a
thriving pottery industry in the 13th century and was then wiped
out by the Black Death. Today, Potters Marston is a hamlet
featuring one of Leicestershire's smallest churches, St Mary the
Virgin which is only 38ft long by 19ft wide. Potters Marston Manor
or Hall as it became, was originally gifted to the Benedictine
Priory from Leofric, Earl of Mercia who was Lady Godiva's husband.
The land around the Hall is still farmed and overlooks rolling
countryside.
Already home to a number of successful companies, including
Power On Connections, the electricity connections provider which
has built a nationwide business from this site, the business park
has extensive car parking and is close to the road and motorway
network.
Andrew McFarlane Holt, director of Wells McFarlane is delighted
that he and his team have been appointed to handle the management
of Dovecote Court, he said: "We are becoming recognised as one of
the region's commercial office space specialists and are continuing
to grow on the back of successful management contracts and by
providing a hands on proactive service for clients."
Commenting on today's commercial market Andrew said: "Whilst
transactions and the market are not as buoyant as they were three
years ago, there is still sufficient interest from local and
national businesses wanting to take advantage of favourable moving
deals while the market continues to provide flexibility to
occupiers. Now is certainly not a bad time to consider moving."
Currently there is only one office available at Dovecote Court,
the Dairy, which provides 680 sq ft of prime office space. Wells
McFarlane encourages any interested parties to contact them on
01858 827090 as soon as possible.
