Corporate lawyer Tom Gray has joined Actons commercial team, to
work with directors Simon Dakin and Peter Flowerday, strengthening
the firm's commercial expertise and depth of knowledge.
Tom advises on a broad range of corporate finance and commercial
matters including acquisitions and sales, reorganisations, finance
and investments as well as also advising directors, boards and
shareholders.
Tom commented:
"Actons has always had a prestige reputation as a solid and
reliable mid-sized legal practice in the city of Nottingham, with
well known expertise in insolvency, dispute resolution, commercial
property and personal injury.
More recently Simon Dakin and Peter Flowerday have built an
increasingly well respected commercial and corporate finance
practice, working on an impressive range of transactions. It is an
exciting opportunity and privilege for me to be joining them to
help build the practice moving forwards."
Simon Dakin, Director, commented:
"Tom has a reputation as an effective commercial lawyer in the
city and we are extremely glad that he has chosen to join Actons,
to help us build the commercial and corporate finance practice into
the future and the longer term.
We believe that in an increasingly competitive legal market
place, a firm like Actons can offer both high quality commercial
advice and best value for SME's and owner-managed businesses, which
will ultimately be the drivers of our economic recovery moving
forwards.
Tom's addition to the practice will bolster the high quality of
advice that Actons can give, whilst maintaining reasonable rates
for clients. He is a very welcome addition to the team as we look
to the future."
Prior to joining Actons Tom worked for several years in the city
at Berryman Solicitors, leaving ahead of its merger with
Shakespeare Putsman, announced last year. Prior to moving to
Nottingham, Tom also worked for international law firm DLA
Piper.
