It feels like last full time whistle of the season has barely been blown but Blaby United FC are already getting ready for the new football season with a completely repainted stand thanks to Three Oaks Property Services.

In an act of good old fashioned community spirit, Adam Chamberlain, Head of Three Oaks Property Services (TOPS), Three Oaks Homes' direct labour organisation, approached Blaby FC last year to offer the services of TOPS for any projects which may need undertaking free of charge as a way of contributing to the local community.

Adam said: "I met the manager and treasurer Gary Cobb on site and we discussed what needed to be done and the pressing priority was the painting of the stand.  However at the time we were particularly busy and we soon started running into the winter months which makes external decoration particularly difficult, so we agreed then to do the works when the weather improved."

The delay actually had an unexpected result as the original plan of white washing the stand kicked into touch after the stand was covered in graffiti and Blaby United received an enforcement notice from the council asking them to redecorate the unit in a darker colour.

Travis Perkins, Narborough learned of the plan after partnering with TOPS and they were very keen to also take part and offered to supply the paint for free. The teamwork on the pitch inspired great teamwork off it too.

Gary Cobbs manager and treasurer of Blaby United said "the work completed was excellent we really appreciate the effort put in, they contacted us and we feel they've done a great job for the community"

Adam Chamberlain said he is very proud of his team, the final outcome and of Blaby United Football Club "Blaby Untied FC are local to us and play a very important part within the community as do TOPS and Three Oaks Homes. We hope that the entire community come out and cheer on Blaby in the new season. I also hope that the positive links between TOPS, Three Oaks Homes and the local community carry on for generations to come, together we have a winning team!"
