The ICC Birmingham completed a flourishing period of events and
conferences in June by accommodating HRH the Princess Royal and
three of the leading figures in UK politics - including the Prime
Minister - during the last week of the month.
HRH Princess Anne visited The ICC as part of the annual general
meeting of the Townswomen's Guild - the largest women's campaigning
group in the UK - where she addressed the 2,000 members in
attendance.
The Princess Royal's visit was followed by arrival of Prime
Minister David Cameron, who attended the annual conference of the
Local Government Association, along with Deputy Prime Minister Nick
Clegg and Ed Miliband, leader of the Labour Party.
Nick Waight, Managing Director of the ICC, said: "Our security
team at the ICC are tasked with a wide range of challenges ahead of
conferences and events hosted onsite, from managing the security
arrangements of notable speakers, to keeping new products and
services under wraps ahead of a major launch.
"The ICC team were honoured to accommodate such notable guests
at the Townswomen's Guild AGM and Local Government Association
conference during the final week of the June and we've received
great feedback from the individuals present at the event.
"We hope they enjoyed the ICC experience and look forward to
welcoming them back to Birmingham again in the near future."
