Something very exciting is beginning at Derbyshire's multi-award
winning East Lodge hotel, restaurant and wedding venue. The launch
of the Indigo Chef's Table dining experience now benefits from
crockery provided by the hospitality industry's first choice,
Steelite International.
The luxury tableware company Steelite International is supplying
the Chef's Table with specially designed pieces of crockery,
blending perfectly with the custom designed table and showcasing
the food to perfection. The launch of the Chef's Table comes in the
wake of a major £¼ million kitchen refurbishment at
East Lodge, which is being seen by the management as a springboard
to deliver an overall dining experience that is unrivalled in the
region, which has led to working with the finest names in the
industry, from Indigo to Steelite International.
"Steelite International is a byword for quality in the industry
and we are delighted to be working with them," said East Lodge
Deputy Managing Director, Iain Hardman. "To successfully deliver
the ultimate Chef's Table experience we needed everything to be
perfect, so to be able to use Steelite International products has
added the ideal finishing touch to the top table at East
Lodge."
The restaurant re-opened to great acclaim at the end of January
and British based tableware and crockery experts Steelite
International have offered their unique products to the Chef's
Table, adding a touch of extra glamour to the event.
"At Steelite International we can help you create a tabletop
presentation that enhances the mood of the occasion and showcases
your food to perfection," said Mr Kevin Oakes Chief Executive of
Steelite International. "We take pride in supplying only the best
establishments with our fine dining tableware and the Chef's Table
at East Lodge is set to be a fantastic experience and hopefully
with the added presence of our products will make it that little
bit more memorable."
"The Chef's Table is a real highlight, where people can enjoy
fine dining and the use of the Steelite International tableware and
crockery provides that special touch to display the food to
perfection," said East Lodge Head Chef Simon Bradley. "The new
space and layout means this is one of the best kitchens I have ever
seen internationally and we now have the perfect blend of fine food
and ambiance to deliver a real treat when it comes to the ultimate
kitchen and dining experience."
Simon knows a good kitchen when he sees one in a career that has
seen him cook everywhere from the Paris Ritz to Raymond Blanc's
celebrated Le Manoir and has worked for the biggest names in the
business, from Raymond himself to Oliver Payton of Great British
Menu fame and has been instrumental in ensuring the Chef's Table is
a truly unique experience to savour.
Owned by the Hardman family, this multi-award winning venue has
remained at the top by constantly improving its service and living
by the motto that good enough just isn't good enough; a drive for
excellence that has led not only to the development of the new
Chef's Table, but to this Hotel of the Year to be one of only 48
hotels in the country to be awarded a Visit England Gold Award and
to be once again enjoyed gold and silver award success at the
regional and national finals of the Enjoy England Excellence Awards
in 2011 for Outstanding Customer Service.
