A Redditch businessman is getting to grips with the nuts and
bolts of launching a new business.
With the help of property agents John Truslove, Andrew Cheslin
is in the process of establishing a distribution business,
Socketfast Ltd, in leased premises at Unit 3 of the io Centre in
Redditch.
He and a colleague Darryl Wall are on site getting ready for an
official July opening. The intention is to build a ten-strong
workforce at the office/warehouse.
Socketfast Ltd specialises in high grade socket screw products
which can be found right across industry including automotive,
aerospace and construction. They will be imported, and then
distributed wholesale throughout the UK.
Mr Cheslin, the firm's director, who has considerable experience
in the sector, said: "We chose Redditch because of its excellent
motorway links which makes all areas of the country readily
accessible.
Unit 3 is part of ten high quality buildings at Park Farm, one
of the town's premier industrial areas. It offers more than 5,500
sq ft of floor space plus first floor offices. The complex is owned
by the Church Commissioners.
Mr Truslove said: "Once again Redditch's location in the centre
of the country has won out.
"I am sure Socketfast will prove an excellent addition to the io
Centre. My best wishes go out to them for their forthcoming
launch."
