Two Shropshire businesses are joining together in a bid to help
county businesses with the switch when they upgrade their computer
systems.
Chris Pallett, Shropshire chairman of the Institute of IT and
owner of Bespoke Computing Ltd based in Stafford Park, Telford,
said many of his current customers are upgrading their computers
from Office 2003/2007 to Office 2010.
But the cosmetic changes in the new version means businesses are
losing time finding the features and functions they rely on on a
day to day basis.
Chris will be working with Telford-based Imagine Virtual
Training to offer Internet classroom-based courses.
He said: "We work with businesses to ensure they are working
with a system that improves time management and is beneficial to
the company.
"Because of this we want to make sure there is an opportunity
for people making the transition to updated systems to learn more
about using them effectively."
Imagine Virtual Training provide courses that will show
delegates short cuts and bring skills up to date. They offer live
interaction with the trainer and other delegates from desktops and
there are no travel costs.
The training also offers people the chance to learn on their own
computer and put the skills into practice immediately.
