Proud staff front new homes campaign

A builder from Northants has been chosen from hundreds of employees to become one of the faces of Redrow's Our Pride ~ Your Joy national advertising campaign.

And in a double achievement he's just been promoted too.

Now a site manager Darren Moore, 40, is among those fronting the housebuilder's campaign, which uses real staff members instead of actors in TV, internet, magazine, newspaper and billboard promotions.

Mary Timlin, sales director for Redrow Homes (South Midlands), said: "Our staff and trades people are proud to provide quality homes to our customers so who better than them to be the face of our campaign.

"We want our customers to get to know the people who build and sell them their homes and this could be the first point of contact, so that process starts here.

"It's quite a brave step to put your face to a national campaign so we're grateful to Darren for being such a good sport."

Redrow's latest ads follow in the tradition of well-received campaigns such as B&Q's "Real People, Real Value" and NatWest's "Helpful Banking" commercials.

Married dad-of-six Darren, who is based at Redrow's Priory Gardens development in St Neots, Cambridgeshire, said: "I was happy to take part in the campaign as I am very proud to be associated with Redrow and very proud of the homes we are building. The New Heritage Collection here in St Neots stands out from our competitors. As they say, 'the proof of the pudding is in the eating' and the fact that we are selling well off-plan is down to the quality and specification of the houses."

Darren's pride in his work is clearly paying off as this week he celebrated a promotion to site manager from assistant site manager following nearly four years with the company.

The new television commercial can be viewed at www.redrow.tv. Redrow is building across the South Midlands including at Farnborough Central, Farnborough, Loves Farm and Priory Gardens in St Neots and Broughton Manor and Bletchley Park in Milton Keynes.
