With the school holidays upon us, mums and dads everywhere are
faced with the perennial problem of what on earth to do with the
kids this summer! Fortunately, Peak Village Outlet Shopping Centre
is once again bursting with ideas to keep the children happy in the
holiday, hosting a range of free events to keep the whole
family entertained this July and August.
Always a popular location for mums and dads looking to keep the
brood entertained, Peak Village will be bustling with activity,
with a unique and exciting programme of free family fun. From live
bands to birds of prey, from antiques to the antics of Punch and
Judy, there are currently over a dozen scheduled activities in
place at Peak Village, with more to follow in the weeks ahead - and
all completely free!
Terrence Morgan of Peak Village, said: "Our fee summer events
have proved a real hit with families in the past, so we are
delighted to be hosting an even wider range of free entertainment
and activities this year. We know the summer holidays a can be a
mixed blessing for families, so with events aimed at young and old
alike, Peak Village is the perfect place to relax and do some
discounted shopping without the usual 'I'm bored' commentary from
the kids."
For younger children this year, there will be several
performances featuring Punch and Judy throughout the summer, plus
Craft Camp and Crazy Golf. Live music and dancing featuring the
Well Heeled Dance Group, and Jaybees Trio Band will have everyone's
feet tapping - while the Birds of Prey display and flying
demonstrations always prove a highlight for everyone.
For mum and dad, James Lewis will be returning this year for his
antiques valuation event; together with arts and crafts sales,
watercolour taster sessions and much, much more. Plus, with
the kids entertained, mum and dad can pamper themselves with a
coffee and a cake and take in the amazing discounts to be had from
over 20 leading retailers on site, including national names like
Holland and Barrett, Pavers, Massarella's, The Cook Shop and
Edinburgh Woollen Mill and Mountain Warehouse. Massarella's hold a
license to serve alcohol and will be stocking a refreshing
selection of bottled wines and beers for customers to enjoy in the
sunshine.
Peak Village is currently attracting over 750,000 visitors a
year and for a free family day out with free parking and free
entertainment, plus the opportunity to combine superior shopping
with great local attractions, the Peak Village summer package is
sure to be the peak of popularity this summer too and one not to be
missed.
