A Warwickshire-based contact centre, outsourcing and technology
company is looking to get its message across through a new website
and corporate identity.
Message Pad Ltd was formed 16 years ago, originally as an
outsourced contact centre business providing inbound and outbound
call handling services to clients across the country.
Agents in their contact centres use Message Pad's own multimedia
contact handling platform, known as intelligentContact, developed
at head office in University of Warwick Science Park's Warwick
Innovation Centre.
Seven years ago, after a number of outsourcing clients expressed
an interest in deploying this same platform for their own separate
operations, Message Pad formed their technology division,
mplsystems, to allow the company to further develop and market
intelligentContact on a global basis.
mplsystems has grown rapidly with clients using
intelligentContact in the UK, Europe, South Africa and North
America and to further boost this growth a new brand identity, logo
and separate website - www.mplsystems.co.uk - have been
launched.
This will provide information on the company's growing portfolio
of CRM, field worker and social media solutions.
Amanda Byart has been with the company since before it moved
into the Gallows Hill Centre 13 years ago and says the new website
comes in the middle of an exciting time for the both the company
and the contact centre industry.
She said: "Call centres are no longer about agents with
telephones and spreadsheets.
"We are developing social media solutions to help companies
manage their customer services, we have implemented software that
directly connects call centre agents with workers out in the field,
provided web and email booking systems and helpdesk solutions that
are integrated with the entire organisation.
"We have six of our own contact centres across the UK in
Edinburgh, Belfast, Winchester, Nottingham, Sutton Coldfield and
Portsmouth.
"That is as well as the head office at the Warwick Innovation
Centre where the finance, administration, technology, and marketing
are handled.
"We have a huge variety of clients across a range of sectors, in
fact you would be hard pressed to find an industry we are not
involved in.
"We are really well connected here at Warwick and I think that
has helped us to develop both sides of the business, particularly
over the past couple of years."
Karen Aston is centre manager at the University of Warwick
Science Park's Warwick Innovation Centre and thinks this step bodes
well for the company's future.
She said: "It has been great to see Message Pad expand at such a
rate over the years and be a part of that process.
"They clearly have a very creative staff in that firstly they
were able to put together operating systems of such a standard that
clients were interested in investing in them and secondly once they
knew people would be interested in them, they managed to turn this
into a separate viable business.
"More and more importance is placed on having a good web
presence in business today so this launch should allow Message Pad
and mplsystems to continue its success and we will be happy to
continue to contribute to that."
