The "sell-out" signs have gone up for Birmingham Press Club's annual Meet the Media networking event, which provides guests from the business community with an opportunity to meet leading members of the region's fast-changing media world.

Co-sponsored by accountancy giant KPMG and corporate bank Barclays, the event - on Thursday, July 21 - is being held at One Snow Hill, Birmingham, the regional headquarters building of both organisations, which houses a total of 2,000 staff.

John Lamb, Press Club chairman, said: "We are greatly indebted to Barclays for their continued backing and delighted that KPMG has strengthened the ranks of our new supporters."

Magazine and newspaper editors, journalists from regional newspapers, radio and television, and those engaged in on-line websites will be in attendance.
