The Nottingham office of global real estate services firm, DTZ
has sold a former bank premises in Nottinghamshire to a private
individual for £225,000.
23-24 The Square is a four storey, Grade II listed Georgian
building located in the market town of Retford and comprises 4,500
sq ft of retail and office space.
The building has planning permission for a ground floor
extension and conversion to two leisure/retail units and consent
for residential apartments on the upper floors.
The property occupies a prominent position fronting the Market
Square in the centre of Retford and is surrounding by occupiers
including Yorkshire Bank, Stanley Hunt Jewellers and Bradstone
Bar.

was an attractive listed Georgian building and, with planning
consent already approved for a ground floor extension and
conversion of the upper floors to residential accommodation, we
received considerable interest."
