did in May
Property sales have risen a staggering two and a half times over
the past month in Kenilworth and gone up by two thirds in
Leamington according to figures just released by Brian Holt estate
agents.
Instructions, viewings and and valuations also rose during June,
with valuations up one fifth in Kenilworth and 11% in Leamington.
Instructions rose 25% in Leamington, viewings increased by 44% in
Kenilworth and a third more people joining the Kenilworth mailing
list compared with the previous month.
The increase underlines the continuing confidence in the housing
market in south Warwickshire says Brian Holt's Kenilworth manager
Julie Philpot.
"Prices have been stable for some time and we are seeing
confidence increasing month on month. Despite the uncertainty over
the economy, job security and now unrest over public sector
pensions people still need somewhere to live and are no longer feel
they have to sit tight and see what happens before taking the
plunge," she said.
"In certain cases we have actually seen price rises - the
traditional three bedroom family semi being the most consistently
well performing and popular property. We can't get enough of them
to cope with demand."
