HSBC has appointed Dan Wright as Deputy Head of Corporate
Banking in the Midlands, extending the bank's commitment to the
region. Dan joins Ian Stitt as a second deputy head of corporate
banking, reporting to Maurice Heath. His appointment follows growth
in the number of experienced relationship managers the bank has in
the Midlands.
Dan joined HSBC in 1991 and brings over 20 years banking
experience to his new role. He has worked in a number of senior
roles across the Midlands, and most recently led the HSBC Corporate
Banking office in Sheffield. His corporate experience includes FTSE
250 refinancing, cross border funding solutions and High Yield Bond
and private equity backed transactions.
In his new role Dan will assist the bank's Global Corporate
Managers in ensuring that HSBC continues to meet the needs of their
diverse range of corporate clients. Based in Birmingham, he will
help the bank in particular to focus on corporate businesses either
already trading extensively in, or looking to move into
international markets.
Also joining HSBC in the Midlands is Tom Clamp. Tom takes on the
role of Associate Director in the Leveraged Finance team,
originating, assessing and executing deals as part of the
five-strong team led by Graham Young.
Tom, a chartered accountant, joins the bank from Deloitte's
Corporate Finance Advisory team in Birmingham where he was
Assistant Director. Through five years Corporate Finance experience
he has gained exposure to a wide range of transactions including
corporate disposals, corporate acquisitions and sponsor -backed
acquisitions across the region.
