A well known local hair stylist has set up her own salon in Shirley and has invited some of her new clients to help her cut the ribbon on this exciting new venture.

Bei Capelli has become Shirley's newest hairdressing salon. It hopes to bring a new experience to customers, which is far more personal and individual than the conveyor belt approach often employed by some of its competitors. Solihull-born Hannah Gardner, who has set up the business, has been working at a premier hair salon since 2007, and saw this as the ideal time to set up on her own.

With the help of NatWest Business Banking, Hannah has now established Bei Capelli in the former Pearce & Cutler Windows shop at 405 Stratford Road, Shirley creating six new jobs.

Hannah Gardner said: "I am really excited about the opening of Bei Capelli, and I cannot believe how quickly the appointments book is filling up. Having worked in the industry, I know exactly what Bei Capelli needs to deliver to my clients. My team and I have a very personal approach offering exceptional service and value, and above all we are passionate about what we do!"

Hannah added: "Today is a very special day for me and would like to say a big thank you to everyone who has helped me with the opening of the salon. I would like to thank my parents for being so supportive of my ambition to be my own boss, my clients and our NatWest Business Manager Mina Pala. They have all been fantastic and without the help and support I have received Bei Capelli just would not have been possible."

Mina Pala, NatWest's Business Manager in Shirley, said: "Small businesses are vital to the UK economy and NatWest is there to help in every way it can. Solid support and guidance from dedicated relationship managers is key, and to prosper it is essential that new business ventures like Bei Capelli take advantage of all the help they can get. I'm delighted that NatWest was able to support Hannah with this business venture and I wish her and everyone involved with Bei Capelli every success."
