The Leicester office of national law firm, Gateley has appointed
a new commerce, IP and technology partner.
Lisa Logan returns to the Leicester legal market from London
where she specialised in IP and technology law. Before moving into
private practice Lisa worked within the in-house legal teams for a
number of TV production companies including the Discovery Channel,
Nickelodeon and Disney.
As the first Leicester Grammar School pupil to read law at
Cambridge, Lisa is looking forward to settling back into the area
where she grew up and brings a young family with her. In 1910 the
lawyer's grandfather, Joseph Brown founded Irish Clothing the
menswear fashion retailer on the High Street, along with another
store in Loughborough. The family still run the clothing store with
Lisa's uncles, cousin and mother now managing the
business.
Part of her remit at Gateley will be to expand the Leicester
firm's commerce, technology and IP department and Lisa is already
acting for a number of local clients.
Commenting on Lisa's appointment, corporate partner Gareth John,
said: "This is a key appointment as we move to expand our
commercial, IP and technology offering. Having someone with Lisa's
extensive experience join us presents a great opportunity for the
Leicester office and fits with our strategy of providing wide
ranging expertise coupled with a passion for local service
delivery."
Lisa Logan added: "I'm delighted to be back in my hometown and
I've missed it while I've been away. I'll be applying my experience
and knowledge of IP, technology and general commercial law to help
expand our portfolio in this area and I'm excited to be able to do
that with a firm that has a great reputation not only in the
Leicester legal market but as a leading national law
firm."
