A Staffordshire engineering and fabrication company is
celebrating after landing their third major project with a local
animal rendering plant.
Air Management and Design are manufacturing a large new fume
extraction unit, to be installed at Cheddleton-based John Pointon
& Sons, having completed the design work in April.
They will then install the system at the client's site, allowing
them to clean the air leaving the plant and comply with odour
control legislation.
It's the third time AMD have worked with this client, after
installing similar systems in 2005 and 2008. The main reason for
this is they are one of few companies in the UK with the capability
to tackle the project from start to finish.
AMD Managing Director Steve Evans: "There are only two or three
companies in this country who can design, manufacture and install
this type of system.
"We have a good relationship with Pointons and they know we can
handle projects of this size and turn them around quickly.
"This project will be completed by the end of March."
Air Management and Design was established in 1998 and now
employs 25 people at their headquarters in Chesterton,
Newcastle-under-Lyme.
They specialise in ductwork engineering and steel fabrication
work, and their clients include Broxap, pet food manufacturers
Golden Acres, and Coventry and Solihull Waste Disposal.
