Plinkfizz PR consultancy has won two new education
accounts.
The agency has been appointed by Stoke on Trent College and the
Discovery Academy which is opening for business in September.
For PR director Joanne Hine, working on education contracts is a
labour of love. Before joining Plinkfizz, Joanne published several
magazines for school students in the Midlands. So it's a very
welcome return for her to an area she knows extremely well and
loves working in.
"This is a very exciting time to be working in education,"
commented Joanne. "Stoke College is one of the largest colleges in
the UK, with the facilities, support and resources to match. It has
15,000 students and 1,000 members of staff.
"It has a strong focus on practical courses that work - for
young people, adults and employers. And it is at the heart of the
city's regeneration agenda providing industry-leading training in a
wide variety of subjects.
"We very much look forward to helping the college grow even
further in today's challenging economic environment."
The Discovery Academy is a new 11-16 co-educational Academy
launching in September 2011.
It brings together students from the former Mitchell Business
and Enterprise College and Edensor Technology College. From 2011 to
2013 the academy will operate from the two existing school sites,
before moving to a state-of-the-art purpose built school on the
site of the former Willfield Community Education Centre, Bentilee.
