Edmond Shipway, the multi-disciplinary construction consultancy
based in Nottingham has recently completed work on a £200,000
project for Nottingham City Council.
As part of Nottingham's award-winning Local Education
Partnership (LEP) which is a public private partnership between
Nottingham City Council and inspiredspaces, Edmond Shipway have
provided mechanical and electrical services for the new cafe kiosk
and golf pavilion at Woodthorpe Grange Park in Sherwood,
Nottingham.
Work began in January of this year to redevelop the current golf
pavilion and provide a cafe kiosk and toilet facilities for the
park. The new building has been designed by Marsh Grochowski
Architects to complement its park surroundings and features a
'green' roof made of sedum which will encourage plants to grow and
wildlife to visit. Built by A J Beaman Construction, the building
extends out onto a terraced area which overlooks the newly designed
children's playground.
Daman Ranby, director and head of mechanical and electrical
consultancy at Edmond Shipway said; "Very rarely does a unique
project such as this come along, where small proportions lead to a
striking architectural solution. We are delighted to have been part
of the team who has transformed this green space for the people of
Nottingham to enjoy."
The new facilities will be officially opened later this month by
Nottingham City Council.
